Delicious Halwa made with Beetroot.

Beetroot - 1 cup chopped

Ghee

Water - 1 cup

Milk - 1 cup

Sugar - 1 cup

Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup fried in ghee

Raisins (Kishmis) - 1/2 cup fried in ghee

Methods/steps

Making Beetroot Halwa

 

  • Shred the beetroot and keep aside.
  • In a pan add sufficient amount of ghee and heat it.
  • Add the shredded beetroot and fry properly till the beetroot is cooked.
  • Now add water and cook thoroughly.
  • Once beetroot is cooked add milk and sugar and cook for another 10 minutes till the whole mixture thickens.
  • Garnish with fried cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Delicious Beetroot halwa is ready.
