Chana Gravy

Chana boiled and cooked with onions and tomatoes. Tasty chana gravy and goes well with chapathis.

Chana - 2 cups

Onions - 2 finely chopped

Tomatoes - 2 finely chopped

Turmeric - 1 teaspoon

Chilli powder - 2-3 tablespoons

Dhaniya powder - 1 tablespoon

Salt

Methods/steps

Soak chana overnight and boil in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles under medium flame.

In a seperate bowl heat 7-8 tablespoons of oil.

Add finely chopped onions and let them fry. Add tomatoes and let it also fry. Add the cooked Chana, turmeric, chilli powder, dhaniya powder, salt and cook for 10 mts.

Take a mixie jar. Add half of the cooked Chana curry and blend it into a paste. Add the paste to the cooked Chana gravy. Add 1 cup of water and cook for 5 mts under medium flame.

Chana gravy is ready and good to go with Chapathis.
