Delicious Chilli chicken dry where in chicken spiced with lots of chillies. Delicious snack or appetizer, call it whatever one feels like.

Chicken - 100 gms cut into small pieces.

For Paste

Eggs - 2

Corn flour - 2 tablespoons

Maida - 1 tablespoon

Chilli sauce - 4 teaspoons

Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon

Chilli powder

Ajinomoto - pinch

White pepper - 1 tablespoon

Turmeric

Salt

For Chilli chicken

Onions - 2 cut into big pieces

Capsicum - 2 cut into big pieces

Chillies - 10 slit into halves

Chilli sauce - 1 teaspoon

Soy sauce - 1/2 teaspoon

Water - 1/2 glass

Salt

Oil

Methods/steps
1)

Marinating Chicken

  • Beat the eggs and keep aside.
  • In a bow add all the ingredients for the paste mentioned. Make into a paste by adding egg. Paste should be thick enough to coat the chicken properly.
  • Now add the chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Marinate for 4 - 5 hours.

Frying Chicken

  • In a saucepan add sufficient oil for deep frying.
  • Heat the oil.
  • Once heated add the chicken pieces and chillies too.
  • It takes approximately 3 - 4 mts to fry the chicken.
  • Do not over fry it since chicken turns harder.
  • Place a tissue on a plate. Place the fried chicken pieces on the plate.

Making Chilli Chicken

  • In a separate pan add 3 tablespoons of oil. Heat the oil.
  • Add onions and capsicum. Sauté them till they are properly cooked. Do not over cook. Make sure they are crispy.
  • Now add the chicken pieces and chillies too.
  • Fry for a minute. Add chilli sauce, soy sauce, water, and salt.
  • Keep stirring till all the ingredients mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve chilli chicken hot.
