Shrimp/Prawn - 1 cup peeled and cooked
Fresh tamarind - 4 pieces
Chillies - 7 - 8 slit into halves
Onions - 1 big nicely chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric
Salt

Methods/steps
1)
Tamarind Paste
- Peel the shell off the fresh tamarind pieces.
- Soak in the water.
- Make a fine paste by adding little salt and keep aside.

Making Shrimp
- In a kadai add 5 - 6 tablespoons of oil
- Heat the oil and add onions and chillies.
- Fry them till onions turn brown and add ginger garlic paste. Fry till raw smell leaves.
- Now add tamarind paste and fry for a minute.
- Now add the cooked shrimp, turmeric, sufficient salt and glass of water.
- Cook till the gravy thickens.
- Garnish with coriander and delicious shrimp curry with tamarind (chinthakaya royyalu ) is ready.

Additional Tips
One can add chillies depending upon the spicy level one can afford to have.
