Kakarakaya fry with Badam

Kakarakaya (Karela or Bitter gourd) - 4 (cut into small round shapes)

Badam powder - 1 cup (Powder raw Badam)

Sour Curd - 1 cup

Water - 1 cup

Onions -1 finely chopped

Chillies -3 chopped

Dhaniya powder - 1 tablespoon

Turmeric - 1 teaspoon

Salt

Methods/steps

Take kakarakaya, badam powder, sour curd, water, turmeric and salt in a bowl. Mix well.

Use only sour curd to remove the bitterness of kakarakaya.

Cook under medium flame till kakarakaya is half cooked.

Take a big pan. Add sufficient oil and heat. Fry the onions and chillies.

Now add the cooked kakarakaya and fry them till they turn brown.

At the end add sufficient salt, dhaniya powder and 1 tablespoon badam powder. Mix well for 2 -3 mts.

Serve hot with rice. Goes well with Dal.
