Vadas made with Chana dal and deep fried in oil. A time pass snack and loved by all.

Chana dal - 2 cups

Onions - 2

Cilantro - 1 cup chopped

Salt

Oil

Methods/steps

Soak chana dal in water for 2 hours.

Add to the  mixie jar. Add 1/4th cup of water and blend into fine paste.

Add sufficient salt and mix thoroughly.

Now finely chop the onions into small pieces.

Mix the finely chopped onions and cilantro with the chana dal paste.

Take a small portion of the paste and make shapes like patties.

Taka a tava. Add sufficient oil for deep fry. Once the oil is heated deep fry the masala vada's.

Tasty Masala vada's are ready. Good as a snack and can also make Masala Vadala Pulusu.
