Menthi Koora - 1 bunch

Toor Dal - 1 cup

Onions - 2 finely chopped

Tomatoes - 1 chopped

Tamarind - 1/2 lemon sized ball

Turmeric - 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon

Garlic cloves - 8 -10

Zeera - 1 tablespoon

Red chilli - 4

Chilli powder

Salt

Oil

Methods/steps

Seperate methi leaves from their stems.

In a pressure cooker, take methi leaves, Toor Dal, one chopped onion, tomato, tamarind, turmeric 1 cup water. Cook until you get 3 -4 whistles.

Take a pan. Add 8 tablespoons of oil. Splutter mustard seeds. Add garlic and let them fry. Add zeera and chopped onions and fry them till they turn golden brown. Add red chillies and fry till they turn black.

Take a spoon of dal and mix with the seasonings.

Add the above mixture to the cooked dal and mix well. Add sufficient salt, chilli powder and simmer it for 5 mts.
