Palak Rice
Ingredients
Rice - 2 glasses
Palak - 1 bunch
Onions - 1 finely chopped
Chillies - 8-9
Turmeric
Salt
Zeera
Oil
Methods/steps
Cook rice in a rice cooker by adding 4 glasses of water. Let the rice cool down.
Seperate palak leaves from stems. Take a bowl and add palak leaves and chillies. Add 1/4th cup of water. Let them cook for 15 mts under medium flame.
Let the palak cool down and add to the mixie jar and make a fine paste.
In a seperate bowl add 8 tablespoons of oil. Add zeera, finely chopped onions and let them fry till onions turn golden brown. Now add the palak paste, turmeric, salt and let them also fry for 2-3 mts.
Add cooked rice and mix properly. Simmer the mixture for 5 mts and serve hot.
