Pamphlet Fish - 2 pieces

Raw Mango - 1/2 chopped into big pieces

Tamarind - 1 lemon sized ball

Onions - 1 finely chopped

Tomatoes - 3 chopped

Turmeric

Garlic

Chilli powder

Salt

Curry leaves - few

Fenugreek seeds - pinch

Oil

Methods/steps
1)

Cut the fish into pieces as shown.

Clean the pieces thoroughly and keep aside.

In a saucepan add sufficient oil.

Add curry leaves and pinch of fenugreek seeds. Let them splutter.

Add chopped onions and fry till the raw smell is gone.

Add chopped tomatoes and turmeric.

Mix well and cook till tomatoes are cooked properly.

Add chopped mango pieces and fish pieces. Add litter bit of garlic since pamphlet fish has little raw taste.

Add sufficient chilli powder and salt to the fish. Mix properly.

Meawhile soak tamarind in hot water for 10 mts. Squeeze thick pulp out of tamarind and add to the fish.

Add little water to the fish and cook till oil oozes out.

Delicious Pamphlet fish Pulusu is ready.

Serve hot with rice.

Additional Tips

Mash the garlic.
