Delicious sweet made with Semiya (Vermicelli).

Semiya - 1 cup

Sugar - 4 cups

Water - 2 cups

Boiled Milk - 3 cups

Elaichi - 1 mashed

Oil - 2 tablespoons

For Garnishing

Ghee - 3 tablespoons

Cashews - 2 tablespoons

Raisins - 1 tablespoon

Methods/steps

Take a saucepan. Add oil and fry semiya till they turn golden brown.

Boil water and add the fried semiya till they are properly cooked.

Add the boiled milk to the boiled semiya and bring to boil.

Add the elaichi and keep aside.

In a seperate skillet heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins.

Add the fried cashews to the prepared Semiya and delicious Semiya Payasam is ready.
